For the software engineering module, it was time for teamwork. Working in Unreal Engine 5, we've started development on a third-person action adventure game called Buckthorn.
For the purposes of the assessment, we assigned roles based on our preference, my roles landing on Project Management and AI. As project manager, it was my responsibility to organise and assign work to my team members. For AI, it was my responsibility to create engaging NPC types, spanning numerous different enemy types with unique behaviours, and a challenging boss fight to capstone the adventure.
